I started in nursing right out of high school. Got very sick last May and was in the hospital and then a rehab hospital. It has taken a years worth of work to get back to where I was before I got sick. Now that I'm better and can return to the only job I have ever loved, I CAN'T FIND A JOB!!!!! I mean seriously, what happened to the nursing shortage? Was it corrected during the time I was sick? I just am seriously pulling my hair out trying to find a job. I have years of experience, and personal experience that I would consider a plus due to I now know how the patient feels everytime someone walks into the room. COME ON!!!!!! I am just seriously beside myself, I knew it wouldn't be easy but I have never went any time with out getting a job in nursing and now it is seriously stressing me out. Thanks for listening and any advice would be very much appreciated. -Nickie

Nickie- have you tried looking on careerbuilder.com, and uploading your resume there? The first time I did that, I got 6 calls within several hours. Recruiters do look at the resumes there. Good luck to you! Glad you're all better now.
Oh- and if you're in the Louisville area, check out the nursing jobs on http://www.louisvilleworks.com/
