A thread for those awaiting decisions...

Published

I just thought i'd make a thread for those that are eagerly awaiting to hear decisions from the applications they have made for 2009!

I applied to 7 schools for mostly direct entry MSN programs, i got rejected by one so far :( i hope it's not a trend that'll continue :/

Lets hear about which schools you all applied to! :)

Wunderkind, I'm so sorry things aren't going as planned for you, but keep your chin up! Things have a way of happening at unexpected times so just keep on chuggin! My GRE scores were sent after the deadline to almost all the schools I applied to and they're still considering my app so just call/contact the schools and hope for the best. Have you spoken to Melissa at Duke about your app? When are you supposed to hear back from them? I was going to apply for the ABSN for this fall, but decided at the last minute to wait and apply for Spring 2010 instead. Good luck with everything! I'm sure it will all work out for you in the end.

Seattle U just emailed me an intervew invite, so good luck to the rest of you who are waiting to hear from them!!

congratulations avbc! what track did you apply for? good luck in your interview!

I applied for the FNP track. Interviews are supposed to start this Wednesday, so thanks for the good luck! :)

Well the first batch of Boston College letters are out and I can't believe it but I GOT IN! Just to encourage all of your out there who was dreading about the GRE, I got a 1030 and BC saw fit to take me so WHOO! I'm on cloud nine right now, just have to wait for MGH-IHP and make the decision. Congrats to all of you who have been accepted and to those of you waiting, stay positive!

THanks for all the support on this forum as well. I wasn't too active but I read EVERYTHING religiously and did a little hat dance for all of those who got in. Good luck everyone, hope to see a few fellow BCers!

For those of us on the waitlist for Penn, I got an email back from Filomena this morning and this is what it said re: the waitlist...

"Please note we do not rank the waitlist. If we are able to remove applicants from the waitlist, a mini admissions committee will be held with the applicants that have remained on the waitlist and make decisions at that time. "

I also received that reply from Filomena at Penn today. I also had asked her if there was a chance we'd hear about the wait list decisions before March 31st and she said possibly, but the soonest would be March 15th. I wish I had a sense of how many people come off the waitlist and get a spot in the class and how many people have chosen to stay on it. Everything is so up in the air. Im trying to just not think about and wait for the Columbia decision.

good luck to all!!

hi all,

congratulations to those who have been accepted into programs thus far. i got an acceptance letter from Penn, but it looks like it's just to the bachelors part of the BSN/MSN program. Does anyone have any idea when we should be hearing back from Penn about the MSN program? I'm having a hard time fully celebrating this acceptance without knowing the decision from the graduate faculty.

thnx

I got into Columbia!!! Having had pretty low expectations to begin with, this was such a surprise!

That is awesome!!! How exciting!! CONGRATULATIONS! When do you begin school?

Specializes in ER; CCT.

Still waiting. Has anyone heard anything who has applied to Johns Hopkins, Duke or University of Colorado MSN-DNP?

hey everyone just wanted to ease some fears- I got rejected from BC last week but accepted at Columbia University this week so even if you aren't getting the results you want at first hold on- these acceptances are so hard to predict!
