Been married for 1 1/2 years.. Dated the guy for 6yrs before... Am originally from Mississippi, but my husband got a job here in Arkansas... and it brings the $$$$ so I had to move :)hehe

No children except for two 4 legged ones.. a 16lb orange male kitty name Thomas.. and a 11lbs ragdoll kitty named Chloe..

This will be my 2nd degree.. I graduated from Mississippi State with a degree in Veterinary Technology in May 2000.. Loved it, miss it greatly but no money or respect....

Now I want to work in either Labor/Deliver or OB.. But I am sure that can change.. ICU intrigues me, but not sure how I could handle it...

hey all!

great idea this is.

my name is zach. i'm from the pacific northwest. i am 23, 6'2"...oh wait this isn't a personal ad :) tomorrow i finish my 1st quarter of an adn nursing program. i've spent about a year and a half working on the pre-reqs. the real program is a killer!

this is my second round at college. right after high school in '95 i went to a tech college for a while studying electronics. i was so unmotivated and eventually stopped going. having a career in healthcare was always appealing to me and now what i'm doing really motivates me and i love the challenge!

it's too early for me to decide on a specialty, but i'm thinking maybe public health or telemetry. we'll see. i'm one of the few who doesn't have l&d as their first option! lol.

Hi

I am a 24 y.o. 2nd degree student from Maryland. I live with my boyfriend and I do not have any kids (although I deal with 12 kids at work every day). My first degree was in Psychology. I think I would like to do L&D, Peds, or Peds Psych (only time will tell).

This is an interesting post!!

I'm a 22 y/o LPN from Colorado. I'm going to finish up the first semester of my BSN program on Wed, and can't wait for the break.:) I've been an LPN for three years, and I'm currently working on a Med/Surg floor. Can't wait until I get my RN so I can hit the ER! I'm not married and have no kids. I WILL graduate in Dec. of 2003!

Hi! Nice to "meet" everyone!:)

I'm 29 (30 next month, yikes!), married 7+ years with three kids (6, 4, and 14 months). I finish my first quarter of an ADN program today (YAY!) and I'll be done with that in 6/03.

I've known I've wanted to go into nursing since high school, but was always discouraged by my mother (who has told me on many occasions that nurses are "only glorified butt-wipers"). I putzed around in college, taking a bunch of biology and chemistry, and came within about two quarters of getting a degree in biochemisty. I quit school several times trying to decide what to do, knowing that I didn't want to sit in a lab all day. After I had my first child, I knew that midwifery was what I wanted to do, but I waited until I had my third to get the kick in the butt to actually finish my prereqs (I only had A&P to complete) and get to doing it. I did a childbirth educator course, a doula course, and some breastfeeding courses during those five years, thinking that tackling nursing school would be to big of a thing. My big decision was actually whether I wanted to go the nurse-midwifery route or the licensed midwifery route -- as long as nothing happens in the meantime, I've obviously made my choice, and I'm really happy with it. :)

Hi! My name is Brandy (bet you would have never guessed that:))

I am 22 years old, and I live in Kirksville Missouri.

I am currently finishing up my last year at Truman State University in a BSN program. I finish this semester on December 18th, and then I only have one semester to go. I graduate with my BSN on May 18, 2002.

I am specializing in Emergency/Trauma and Intensive Care (my speciality track starts next semester)

I work part time as a tutor, computer technician, and a writing consultant.

I live with my Fiance, and no children.

In May, we will be moving to Hannibal Missouri, and I have already accepted a postion there for PCU/ICU and ER starting in June. We are also currently house-hunting.

During my free-time I am one of your "friendly neighborhood moderators", and I try to keep track of my own website as well.

Hugs,

BrandyBSN
