Thanks for the support, @GrumpyRN, it's always good to "hear" from you.
Yeah, Mr. Cohen can be a drag in his songs, but I find them so revealing in a poetic manner. You know, it took him seven years to complete his classic, "Hallelujah" and when Bob Dylan told him that he took only about 20 minutes to write a song, Leonard was embarrassed to confess how long it took him.
Hank Williams was reputed to say, "If a song can't be written in 20 minutes, it ain't worth writing!"
Leonard Cohen wrote some poetically powerful songs, eh @sirI? It would be difficult for me to choose a favorite but "Suzanne", "The Sisters of Mercy", "I'm Your Man", "Everybody Knows", and "Tower of Song" are some, yet not all, of my top picks.
I remember reading in The Rolling Stone, back in the '90's right after his album "The Future" was released, something along the lines of, "Cohen's deep voice makes Tom Waits sound like one of the Beastie Boys". Mr. Cohen aged like fine wine.
On the same sort of "feel" as Leonard Cohen, today's cartoon is of a revelation made after a restless night of wrestling demons:
Thank you, sirI, and @GrumpyRN for your continued virtual friendship and fellowship.

Yes! This👆👆
Great as always @Davey Do👍👍
As a PS, I listened to some Leonard Cohen and realised how much influence he has had on other Bands. Did I miss out not listening to him? Don't know, but I was probably listening to his stuff without realising it when I was (a lot) younger.
I can identify with you missing out on Leonard Cohen and his music, @GrumpyRN , for I discovered him in the early '90's. However, it was a time when his voice became that which made "Tom Waits sound like one of the Beastie Boys".
I thank both of you, @sirIand GrumpyRN for your comments on trademarking that little saying that I came up with, in that you believed it to be universal and needs to be shared, which is a high praise.
After about seven years of professional free-Lance art, I made a promise to myself that I would do my art for self-satisfaction, and that if I became notable, famous or wealthy, it would occur in the stream of things. Just to know that my little saying touched two people with whom I virtually like & respect is all the recognition I need.
Again, thank you.

I admire the fact that you trust yourself, @Davey Do and can hold yourself accountable for your promises.

Nice to see these Davey, really liked Thursday and Friday's. I liked them all but those two made me smile.
I never really listened to Leonard Cohen, I found him a bit too mournful for me.
Internet free?? I remember that. Sometimes think I should just sit down and catch up on my reading, but life gets in the way...
Take care of yourself.
