A&P 1: The Spring '05 Anatomy & Physiology Club

Published

Ok, no one has started this yet, so I guess I will. I start A&P I on January 18th, lab and lecture.

Here are a few good websites I have found...some are basic, some may be more indepth than your instructor asks for.....BUT it gives you a little more to look over before class starts next month! :) ....Never forget the website for your actual book too!!!!!!

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU

wooohoooo! :) way to go, boonersmom!! now, take a deep breath and relax a while before your next class starts! lol

I finally finished yesterday, and knew I was going to end up with a B. I just didn't feel that I did that well on the lecture exam, and the lab exam was for sure going to be my drop...I only studied for it for 4 hours total. Plus, I only had an 88 going in. Well, I just received the e-mail from my instuctor...I got an A!!!! :rotfl: I screamed! LOL! Just to give an idea of how difficult my instructor is, I had the #3 grade in our class going in to the final.

On another awesome note, yesterday after I finished the lab exam, on a whim I went to visit my mom who is an L&D nurse. She invited me to watch a C-section. So, I was in the OR just hours after completing Anatomy. It was AWESOME to watch. What a thrilling 24 hours!

See some of you on the Microbiology thread...Class starts June 14th for me!

CONGRATS HEATHER! WOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Our Lecture was 2 labs joined-- Lab "E" which was mine and Lab "F". She posted the class averages for lecture/lab combined going into the final. Lab E was a 60.0 and Lab F was a 54.6! I honestly don't blame the professor either- I thought our professor was AMAZING. Lab "E" ( mine) had 3 A's. Lab F had 1 A. All the A's were 99.3 and above....which means it wasn't "un-doable".

Thank you! I'm still on could 9 :)

Our lecture was 2 labs combined as well...Purple lab, and Green lab. I was in Green, and we had a different instructor (purple had the same instructor that we all had for lecture). There were 5 A's in purple going into the final. Our school is known for being very difficult in all sciences and math (so difficult that people actually transfer to the university to take them instead of at our JC!). But, I feel that we are getting a better education due to the higher standards. It may be difficult, but we are learning a heck of a lot more than those that go elsewhere. Our JC atually thinks of itself as kind of ivy league (supposedly we are ranked #2 in the nation, but I don't know where that info is from)...but to me it's just my neighborhood JC LOL

Congratulations to everyone for all those As!!!:balloons:

Sigh. Just checked my grades and only got a B for lecture. And I was so close. But now I know what I have to do to get that A.

Thanks! :) I am traveling about an hour from where I live (during high traffic times, before rush hour) in order to be able to take the classes one at a time. The college district is the same, but the college where I usually attend doesn't start the Micro during maymester. I didn't want the end of Micro to overlap the beginning of my 4 week A&P 2 class!!! :)

CONGRATS TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We did it:) Woo Hoo

I'm totally enjoying these next 2 weeks off before A+P II.

I can't apply for Nursing until September for Spring acceptance. In the Fall I am going to take Micro, Nutrition for Health Majors, and First Aid/Safety/CPR ( I don't need this but just want to take it)

How is Micro Fun2Care?

I did Micro and A and P I together last semester along with two other classes, medical math and child development. You can do it, although the reason I am responding is how on earth are you going to cover everything in A and P two in just 4 weeks?? That had me wondering. I just read the endocrine chapter for A and P II starting on Tuesday. Our summer session runs till August, 13 weeks. Last semester ran for 16 weeks. Maybe you were able to cover more in the book in your last semester than we were. It sounds tough, so good luck to you.
