94.5%? That totally rocks! That's the highest lab exam grade I have heard of, period. You are awesome. You probably did alot better on the lecture midterm than you think, too.
Thanks for the encouragement on "see-loam" and viscera. There was alot of noise and chaos in lab yesterday, so I didn't get as far along as I wanted to, but it does sound like it shouldn't be too bad organizing it like you say. And, I agree, it's id'ng all the blood vessels which will be really tricky. I spent some time on the heart models and also studying the histology of the vessels and the blood cells in the book (this latter at home).
Hope you get your lecture exam back tomorrow and hope we get our lab exams back tomorrow (but I doubt we will get our lab exams back tomorrow from what Danielle said about not having started them yesterday).
Did you hear about the extra credit (going to hear the physiology lectures by the auditioning professors?). I so need that extra credit. I cannot wait.

Yes, I heard about the extra credit at the beginning of the semester, but I know it's comming soon since they were interviewing this past weekend. I had forgotten about the extra credit though, I need it too...depending on how much they offer, and A might be possible afterall!

Great news!! I'm so happy to know when instructors will actually listen to their students when something is wrong on a test!!!!!

Well some good news.. I wrote to my professor concerning some of my thoughts and concerns about the pointers...plus the fact that I was 100% positive the slide had shifted when I saw it..and she wrote back saying that she had a lot of the same complaints today and that the slide WAS shifted ( she checked at the end of class) and so therefore she was going to give me credit for that one and also the arbor vitae one ( seems a lot complained about that one)..so that brings it up to 4 wrong + my extra credit she said I got a 92%. I'm very happy with that.

No, I haven't met Patrick, so for now, I'll just have to look at you in awe (sunglasses, please...). About the audition lectures, Danielle wrote the dates on the board Monday, they're 3/18, 5-6PM, 3/21 6-7PM, 3/22 5:30-6:30PM , and 3/23 5:30-6:30PM. She wasn't completely sure how many points for each, so doublecheck. They are in Lark 2004 (1st and 3rd lecture) and Lark 2009 (2nd and 4th lecture). You may also want to doublecheck these locations with Susan Wilson in case I have it wrong.

I'm excited b/c someone dropped and I'm going to actually get to move lab tables tomorrow and be only a FOURTH person, instead of a fifth person which I've been all semester so far (no microscope of my own, etc). I'm looking forward to this. The little things that are exciting these days. I tell you, when you start taking nursing prereqs, you don't have much of a life anymore and you start hearing yourself saying things like getting to be only a fourth person at a lab table is exciting. I need to mull this one over...

I'm so glad you wrote to your professor and that she was fair about this. I often get concerned about the slides getting jiggled and on one occasion I asked the instructor whether the pointer was pointing where she wanted it to because it didn't seem to be pointing at something the shape she had in the question and it had in fact been moved. And it does make you wonder how many other times that could be happening and the question gets marked wrong. Good for you. 92% is a great score!

Hey guys, how are ya'll doing? LOL I have had a great day today! Lets see, I took my lab exam on bones today and got all the questions right including the 5 bonus so I got a 105% on that one. woooohooooo. I went to our schools nursing information meeting tonight. That went very well, found out a lot of important information there. Some of the things I have heard from others was completely untrue and then other things were true. I am just glad we went and were able to set the record straight once and for all. We got to meet the head of the nursing department, boy what a sweet lady she is. Still waiting on my NET scores to come, they should be here any day now. Also found out how the acceptance process goes for our program. The NET scores are actually used as a tie breaker if a person is tied with another for the last spot. My school accepts 120 students per Fall and Spring semesters and last year there were over 300 applicants for the Fall semester. :eek:

I wanted to tell all those who did well on their test CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! We are all so smart teehee! Good Job everyone! I am off to bed now.

Congratulations, nurse2be2007! We still haven't received our first lab practical grade yet. Due to a death in the instuctor's family, we didn't have class or lab on Tuesday, so may not even get them on Thursday. Hopefully, if not Thursday, he'll have them graded and the grades posted on the internet during Spring Break. I really don't want to have to wait until after Spring Break to find out my grade!!

I'm studying bones and muscles now, and that exam won't be until April.

Hope everyone has a good, safe and studyfull spring break! lol

I work full time and am taking 1 or 2 classes a semester trying to get into an accelerated nursing program. A&P is the only class I am taking this semester because I knew it would be so much work. I second the hats off to you! I can not imagine if I had to work and go to school, especially nursing school! Welcome to this thread, we are all very friendly, supportive and helpful. Some are more active than others but we all contribute in our own way. Just jump right in! Good to have you here!

So I'm happy. Went to check my results for my lecture exam and I got 38 out of 40.

But still feel pretty dumb about yesterday's lab exam. Missed three questions for an 88%. This time I have no excuse. :uhoh3: No problems with the knee and all it's ligaments, but never seem to remember the arm bones. Duh?!!

On to muscles.

And congrats to everyone on their great results. We all seem to be doing great.

Finally we got our 1st lab grades back..... "100". TYVM! yeah yeah yeah!!!

Unfortunately for the rest, there wasn't a curve on the lab practical, but I am so excited! 100 on the 1st lecture, 100 on the first lab!!

STUDYING ALL DAY WILL GET ME MY A!! lol
