A&P II (Fall 2010) anyone?

Published

I am getting ready to take A&P II. Class starts August 24th. I have class Tues/Thurs and lab Tuesdays. I have the same professor as I had in A&P and that makes me really happy. I finished A&P I with an 87%, so I am DETERMINED to get an "A" in II.

I think that A&P II is going to be so much more interesting and I! I am excited about it!!!! :D

We use the Saldadin-The Unity of Form and Function. (5th edition). I think the book is excellent.

i am starting ap2 this fall as well, but i am taking it online. I had the saladin book for ap1 and I thought it was an excellent book. However, I sold it on amazon because I will be using a different book for ap2. My professor was horrible for ap1, but the book and the powerpoints got me through. Good luck this fall.

Good luck to you, too! I don't think I would do well taking it online!!! That is just me though! I did just take Medical Terminology (online) this summer and got an "A"!!!! :yeah:

Im taking it as well! I still dont know who my professor is though, so that makes me nervous! I did well in A&P I, but I hope I can do the same for II. Im using the Marieb, book its okay. I have supplemental books and I use other websites to go along with the course and those help. To me lab is the easiest part of A&P.

hi, i'll be doing A&P II this semester also, finally getting back on track ( took a year off because i had a baby)

i think my class starts on the 24th also and i'm pretty sure we use Saladin also, but i'm not sure of the name of the book

i did get a B in A&P I, so yes i have to get an A in II

i found some flash cards at barns at noble, that whats i'm using for now to study until i get my book

i like to be prepared before i go to class it makes life easier..lol

hah...YES! I am one that likes to be prepared and organized as well!!

What flash cards did you find? I had the skeletal and muscular system flash cards. I usually make my own flashcards every night after class. I take my notes from class and re-write them on notecards and then study, study, study!!

I was so close to that "A". I had a hard time being happy with the 87%.

Prior to starting A&P I, I went out on the supplemental book search. I bought the Anatomy and Physiology for Dummies and also the Anatomy coloring book. They both helped out a lot. I was just looking through both of those last night and I think they will also help me in AP II.

Yes, I thought lab was easiest too. I got A's on both our lab practicals and got A's on the quizzes that we had every week. It got to be a bit crazy but I made it through!!! I just didn't like how the lab material was totally off pace to what we were learning in class, that is where it got crazy, for me anyways.

i have the barons anatomy flash cards, 87 would tick me off to because thats so close,

i dont even know what my score were in A&P I, my prof was not the greatest, he was one of those who just repeat what was on the power point,......ughh, i hate those my new prof is the best she was actually a sub for my prof, i learn so much more in her class that one day that i decided i'll definitely take her for A&P II

I have those same books as well. I was lucky to have a teacher that taught both lecture and lab so we wouldn't be that much off track with lab and lecture. I also have some Quick Study Academic charts with the different systems of the body. I think I might get another book as well or maybe a CD. Good luck I hope you do well in A&P!

Hey. I found a really cool muscle review site from a friend of mine going to nursing school at PHCC: Muscle Prep (muscularsystemsonline.com) - Muscular System - Tutorials Quizzes On Skeletal Muscle Anatomy - It looks like they have online courses that address the muscular and skeletal systems.

I'm going to check it out. I need help all the help I can get with learning all the muscles!!

Hope this helps somebody! I think they have some free demo courses too.

I will be doing A&P this fall online. I love the online format, and now

I have worked out how to study. I believe I will be using the Marieb, Hoehn eighth edition. Anyone know off hand what we cover? The course outlines are sort of vauge.

I am doing A&P 2 in fall also. It's online and I am finishing up 1 online right now. Hoping for an A. I have my last exam tomorrow and if I can make a decent grade on that then I should have an A.

Not sure of my book yet. I think my school is changing books. My class starts on the 30th. I really wanted the same professor but when I went to register the adviser said it wasn't open yet, so I took another one. Don't know anything about that professor, so I'm a bit nervous. Just like already knowing this professors format. Luck to all!
