A&P II Club! Come on in!

Who all is taking A&P 2 ? Is there going to be a club?:idea:

Thanks!! Good luck to both of you, too! At the school I applied to, A&P II is not a pre-req. But, I applied with a 4.0 on the pre-reqs and still got wait listed! Luckily, I got the call and will get to start. It's an ADN program. One of the other schools near here basically requires all the classes done because they give bonus points for finishing classes that are not pre-reqs. And, it takes all the bonus points to be able to get in because it is so competitive. But, at that school, you can have a B or two and still get in. It's strange how schools are so different.

It amazed me how different schools have different requirements....enough to give you a headache. In our school the most important classes are Micro and both A&P's to get in. That's why there is so much drama involving

those classes from students and teachers alike. I swear they are the ulitmate weedout classes. Our teacher said that because we have quite a

pestigious ADN program the classes are that much harder than at any of the other schools in the same college district. No wonder we are so stressed.

Of course you are better of if you have A's in all others also but when it comes to admission they very closely look at your A&P and Micro grade.People

who make B's in any of those 3 will have it so much harder to get in. The tears were flowing after our last lecture test, because I think it is the dreaded 87 even if you make 100 on the final you won't get an A.

We have a couple students that got that close to an A. This was a tough class and if you get an A on the first try you know you did really well!!! Many

people in my class attempted the class for the second or third time which

lowers your chances to get in even more. The pressure to have to make and A in this A&P class was almost worse than the material and trust me our teacher didn't make things that easy even though his is one of the better teachers. I felt quite a lot of frustration with his lecture style.

Once you are in the program it's purely survival. I have "connections" and know someone who is in the program. Once you are in people will get the same degree either with C's or A's in the end....the hard part is to GET IN!!!!!! I hope I will Keep your fingers crossed for me that I won't have the final from hell tomorrow.

(Can't wait for X-mas Eve to watch the TNT 24 hr X-Mas story marathon and my son to get here the next day)

I am glad I kept studying because it wasn't all that easy ;)
