Hi everyone,
I have to take the pre-req BIO 131, and than A&P 1&2.
I have heard that the A&P classes are very hard.
I graduated with my business degree with a 3.8, and I find Anatomy very interesting.
I also am not working, so I can devote all of my time to the class.
With that being said, should I be able to pass it if I study a lot?
I don't know why, but the A&P classes have me completely rattled, and doubting my abillity.
Thanks,
Grayten

Indeed, the AP classes require alot of time but u said u find this topic interesting so that will be a great motivating factor. U don't work either so u will have the time to put into it. It's not the anatomy but the physiology that is challenging. There were a few who dropped (in 233) but it's one of those classes that u get out of it what u put into it. Just stay on top of the reading, try not to miss class and work hard in lab.
If u are planning on going into nursing, these 2 classes are the foundation from which nursing classes build on so u cannot merely memorize for the tests, u must LEARN the material. I loved these classes and my teachers were great so that made me want to do good too.
Good Luck!

For me, the anatomy part was more difficult. SOOOOOOOOOOOO much memorization!! The physiology part actually came quite easy for me!
But absolutely keep up and work hard, you'll do fine.
Community college A&P is usually not that bad :). I got a 95 in the class (at MCC), not working outside the home, but I do have four little ones.
I need to take a+p 1 and 2 im so nervous I have 2 little ones as well...I dont have much time i have to take it this summer, to apply for 2009 nursing program
Pick the right teacher, I took the 6 week summer A&P (full course, not two parts) at MCC and got a 97.6 final grade - (Can you hear the tooting of the horn? :) ) I attribute that to dedication and an excellent professor. Bottom line, you get what you put in, and nothing more.
Thats what I have to do... Have you taken previous science courses before to prep you?
