I'm taking a 5 week A&P1 course over the summer and I wanted to get a head start on learning some of the info. I've read some of the threads on here and have gotten mixed reviews for some who think the coloring books are resourceful and others who say they weren't useful at all. Then some say "a certain author" for flashcards is better than "another author".Could someone please give me their insight/suggestions for the best resource and also if you can please list title/author of the books/flashcards?
P.S. - I already have A&P for dummies. So I'm looking for something along the same lines with regards to the coloring book/ or flashcards. Science is like a foreign language to me:banghead: and I'm looking to get something that will help me understand it the best way possible.
-Thanks,

If you punch in A&P Flashcards and coloring books at Amazon.com all kinds of varieties will pop up with a lot of reviews. I did this for pharmacology flash cards. Their was hundreds of reviews so it was very helpful to pick which ones I wanted.
When I took A&P last semester I found a full Kaplan's A&P coloring book online.
Here is a link I found when I typed it into google the pdf file can be found on that page::

Cliffs notes study solver-anatomy and physilogy. i really like cliffs notes books. they have chapter tests and then at the end they have a test over everything and if you get a question wrong, they tell you which section that info was in so you know what you need to work on.
on amazon, search for "cliffs notes study solver anatomy and phisiology". i just found it. It $2 used and $10 new. I bought mine for $12 at a borders store so these are priced well. I hope you find one!
I am a visual learner. It really helps me to see pictures and diagrams to learn things. If that is your style too, GET THE COLORING BOOKS! Mine have been extremely helpful. Sometimes the write ups on the physiology is better explained in them than the text. Sad, I know. The pictures are often better and more to the point and grouped in a way that makes sense. I say get it if you aren't sure. The worst that can happen is you don't use it and you sell it back to the bookstore.
Netter's anatomy flash cards are pretty good. If you need to do histology then you can also get Netter's Histology Flash Cards. Get Ready for A & P is pretty good book to read before the class starts.
