Hi..Anyone here bound for Qassim, Ksa?

hi! i am also bound to king fahad hospital Al-Qassim, how about you? same hospital?

they are very strict with the COE, especially the length of your experience (should be more than a year post registration of your license), and your COE should have the phrase "has been employed/is employed as a STAFF NURSE"... they wont accept any other word than STAFF NURSE. or else they wont accept your papers and they will let you return after you have changed your COE. there should also be at least 2 signatories either from HR dept+medical director or chief nurse+medical director.. im my case, my signatories were the CHIEF NURSE and CHIEF OF CLINICS (same with chief of hospital/medical director likewise)

Hi rozyxx! This poses a problem for me. In my COE, it doesn't state there that I am a STAFF NURSE but NURSE I (casual). Is this acceptable? Also, I only have 1 signatory and that is the HR Department Head. The person here is the sole signatory for all the COE of employees employed in Rizal Provincial Government. I tried getting a COE from the hospital were I previously worked before but they told me to go directly to the provincial capitol as they don't have the power to issue a COE since the one who employed us is the provincial government itself. Do you think they will consider my case? I just got my COE today and am planning to have it authenticated. Please reply.

Thanks in advance!

Hi to everyone. I just finished a job interview bound to Saudi last week (this is from a private agency and not from SRO) but I am not convinced with the offer. I just want to ask those who were offered by SRO if the conditons they offer you is the same as those with this private agency. These are the conditions that they gave us:

1. You will only know the branch/place of the hospital you will be assigned to when you get there in Saudi (e.g. Dammam, Al-khobar, Jeddah, etc.)

2. You won't be able to get your salary for 2-3 months. You will only be given a SR 200 food allowance but in the 3rd or 4th month, you will be able to get your your full salary from the previous months.

3. Three years contract but you will be able to go home every 18th month and you will have a 25 days paid vacation.

Is this also the same with SRO? Especially about the first two conditions? Not knowing were you will be assigned and not being able to get your salary for the first 2-3 months? I asked them why the employer needs to hold our salary. They just told me that it is some kind of a "bond" and I don't quite get what that means. Does this mean that they want to be sure that we will be able to continue on with our contract so they are testing us for 2-3 months by not giving our salary?

To those successful SRO candidates, please shed light regarding this. Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi.

I'm not trying to scare you but if you decided to go for an agency in working in Saudi, please don't agree on the #1 condition.

POEA-SRO/MOH is different from private agencies. POEA and MOH of Saudi Arabia already have the pre-contract agreement for Filipino applicants that will be hired. Meaning, all hired applicants under GPB (Gov't Placement Branch) of POEA will be under the responsibility and security of Ministry of Health (MOH), and there are conditions that should be applied to all, including their safety and welfare. Once in the airport of KSA, the authority will quickly recognize you as working under MOH because of the documents, thereby, facilitating a quick and/or safe transfer to the area of designation.

Unlike if you are hired under an agency or private hospital, there isn't much assurance. It could be less stressful if you already have the contract while in Philippines, indicating the area of your designation. It isn't wise to agree on condition number one if you're not under MOH. That's my opinion.

#2 is also critical..are they serious? sr200 food allowance? is it monthly? how about your appliances allowance? what else are included in the benefits? transportation? housing? appliances? free electricity and water?

In MOH-KSA, everything is provided and free: housing, transportation, food, water, electricity.

Please clarify everything with your consultant.

#3 Can you share the name of this agency? The hospital or their client?

Honestly, I don't like their conditions. 3 years contract and you are only given a 1 time vacation? And worst, for 25 days??

I don't know either why the employer would need assurance that you'll continuously work for them by depriving you your salary. That's actually illogical, because they cannot guarantee it like that. You can still go AWOL after they give your salary on the 4th month, right? Haha.

One of the reasons I know why MOH cannot give its nurses salary during the first 3 months is the lack of iqama or working permit. So, receiving salary depends on when or how fast you can obtain your iqama. Actually, due to thousand numbers of nurses under MOH, some don't receive their salary up to 6 months..sad but true.

Think about it my friend. If you are not that desperate yet to get a job, just think about it and assess the contract wisely. I don't want any fellow nurses falling into wrong opportunistic hands.

Good luck and God bless^__^
