ATI Testing

  1. Hi everyone!

I have to take an ATI exit exam in about 35 days, I must achieve a 70% to graduate... I am wondering if anyone else has taken this test, how they scored and any tips would be wonderful!

    thanks!

I use ATI all the time. I hope they don't make us do that. 70% for ATI is like a 90% for a regular exam, ATI goes as a national average, and a personal average. It is set up just like NCLEX is suppose to be. I wouldn't worry too much, but ask for the Assessment IDs, ATI offers a vast amount of practice exams and you should have received all of the study material through the college your at.

I've taken it - for the RN predictor exam, my program had to get a 70% to pass - I think I got like a 65, or something. The 2nd time I took it, I scored with a 73, I think.

I know the reason I scored so well the 2nd time was because I took the practice online tests over and over and over and over again. Did your school give you passwords so you can access the practice tests online? If they did, that's what I'd stick to studying - if they didn't, PM me & I'll send you the passwords I've got

The first time I had to take the ATI for fundamentals I failed. I had to get a 60 and I got a 50 then the second time I took it I got at 61. I don't think that the practice tests have helped me because it is the same test over and over just organized different. If you take the practice test once and get the print out of what you need to study, you study exactly that. Then once you take the real test you should be fine. If you fail and have to retake it, which I hope does not happen, it will be the same exact test. Make sure you pay attention to the questions and the answers while you are taking the test. Then when it is time to review those sections in your ATI book you will automatically know what you got wrong. Once you retake the test you will know exactly what the answers are.

    Hope this helps.

I was hoping I could get some codes and passwords for ATI RN. I am taking the pharm, peds and med/surg2 next week. I really need some more practice tests than the few I got from my college. PM me if you can. Thanks!

the ati study books are available in a lot of the area library systems. i don't think the test changes . We have to get a 90 to pass and i always have to take it twice but the questions are always the same. good luck!

If it is the Comprehensive ATI, which at my school the last ATI you take before you graduate, it predicts what your chances are with how you will do on the NCLEX-RN. I had scored a 84% which translates into a scoring scale of 99% chance passing first time.

If I remember correctly what my instructor said, you have to be in the 90th percentile to pass at my school. Which is in the low 70s range for an individual score. For the Comprehensive ATI.

All the other ATIs I have taken, we have needed a Level 2 to pass. Those % are what the instuctors have and don't tell you until it is time to take the ATI. It's just mainly a Level 2 or 3 most places what.
