WGU RN-BSN in 6 months??

Has anybody finished the RN-BSN program at in 6 months or less?

I heard somebody did it in 3 months but was unemployed.

I work full time and have to do 29 units total. I start on October 1st.

Just want to know if anybody who worked full time actually finished it in 6 months or less?

Any input is appreciated :)

Lisa1980, she did it in 4 months. I'm not sure if she worked full-time but she did work.

It only took me 3 months. I work full time as a Hospice RN case manger, I am a mother to one, and a wife. I made up my mind and dedicated a lot of time to school those 3 months but I was determined to get it done. It is doable in one term!!

I started September 1, and as of today have completed 12 CU's.... that's 12 CU's in 2.5 weeks....

So I plan to be done by Christmas. YMMV.

It is doable, if you work at it. I am burned out with school and keep putting off writting papers, but if you can crank out those papers it is doable

How is the entrance exam? I resent having to take the exam since I have bachelors in another field and is the only school requiring one. If the school is doable in a short time it may be worth taking the exam (been years since I took math).

The entrance exam isn't bad. I brushed up on math and algebra by googling some math sites and doing practice problems. I got a 95% on the math portion. The English "test" was writing a short essay on a topic they give you (no specific knowlege needed to write it). I think the purpose is to assess your usage of the English language, writing paragraphs and using correct punctuation. They said I did well on it, but I didn't ask my score. (They can't tell you your score, but you can "guess", then they will tell you) lol.

That said, I'm not clear as to what the purpose of the examinations are. I still have to take college math and a couple of English comp classes. I am hoping to speed through them ASAP.

They can't share your own score with you?

That seems odd, to me anyway. Maybe that's the norm.

It was basic math and writting, if you made it through nursing school you will do fine on the entrance test. I don't think I ever even asked about my test, I was enrolled and that was fine with me.

As for me, I did ask for my scores but all they said was that I passed. So either the enrollment couselor didnt know my socre as well, or they are just not able to share it. Either way, I am fine with it as long as I know I passed. It was not hard at all. I am sure anybody who passed nursing school will do fine with it. Just make sure you have a quiet place to take the test :)

Oh, the writing part does not require any knowledge at all with nurisng, at least mine didn't. I think they just want to make sure if you are able to construct proper sentences with correct use of grammar and punctuations :)

All the best to the ones who are enrolling. I am starting this October 1st.. woohoo! I actually am excited! Cant wait :)
