Changes to WGU effective October 1, 2014

Nursing Students Western Governors

So, I had my final intake interview done in the end of August, all my transcripts were done and evaluated and I was ready to start in October, 2014 with my RN to BSN program. BUT, I received a call from my adviser today and she told me that there will be changes to my transcripts evals. Everyone has to take Health Assessment now, starting October 1, 2014. As of right now they accepted my Health assessment classes (I took two from Carrington college and 1 from Chamberlain College). Now they are not going to take it and I will be receiving the updated transcript evaluations. I think it is total cow poop. If they already accepted mine they should leave it alone. Does it mean that if along the way when they have changes they will make them half way the program?

I DO NOT WANT TO TAKE THAT STUPID ASSESSMENT CLASS FOR THE FOURTH TIME!!!!!!!! Sorry, just complaining. :(

Ah, the OAs. Yes, I highly recommend just finding a local place that does proctoring. I've done both ways, and the proctoring is just way easier.

I agree. I've taken all my OAs at a local community college's testing center. I prefer it this way because the space around my PC at home is cluttered and would never pass ProctorU's sniff test since they require the workspace to have no papers or clutter.

However, the ProctorU service is valuable for those who prefer to take the OAs in the comfort and privacy of their own homes.

I love taking my assessments at home. It takes no more than 5 minutes to get set up. I have no office or dedicated space. I took my last one sitting on the carpet in front of my bed. My room is generally neat. IThe nearest testing center is about an 1/2 hr drive for me so the at home really works better.

I'm glad they offer both ways.
