Anyone applying to Tidewater Community College for Fall 2013?

Just looking to find some fellow pre-nursing students who are applying to TCC or even Paul D Camp for the fall 2013 semester. Lets chat!

You are probably right about not needing to know how many applied but I can't help myself. I want to know. Are you a current student? If so, how do you like the program?

Yes Regina. I'm a current student, just finished up my first year. I'm satisfied with TCC's program. We always get compliments about how good TCC nurse graduates are on the floor. So far, I haven't had MAJOR issues with the teachers but they are changing a lot of things in the program and just started as we entered so we were the guinea pigs of everything. You'll enjoy the program though.

Hey you guys can probably help me with this question, Can you still apply to the program with just bio 141 & 150? I know 142 has to be completed before the start of the program.

From looking at previous applicants posts of when they received their letters, applicants might even receive them this Friday. I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of us that applied. If I do not get picked up this time around, I am going to apply to both TNCC and TCC in the fall. Anxious for the letter!

I completely understand how that could happen! I am consumed with looking for this letter to come in the mail. I just keep thinking "what if I don't get in"? I don't know what I will end up doing if I don't get accepted as I haven't really formed a Plan B, lol. Good luck to everyone, only a about a week left to wait.

I totally understand where your coming from. Like i said before this is the second time i am applying. I didnt have a plan B because this was what i wanted and where i wanted to go. When i was chosen as an alternate i was crushed but after i wiped my tears i kept going. i applied again as well as looked into other schools. I have my packet ready for Riverside's nursing program and working on a plan C. I realized that somethings wont happen according to my plan but i gotta KIM. Keep It Moving . Im prayig for us all !!! 7 days and counting. Final Stretch . We can make it

Oh, that would be great to get the letter on Friday before the weekend! I am hoping that we all receive acceptance letters and I pray on it every night! Good luck!

So after thinking about not having a plan B, I decided that I really need to come up with one. If I do not get accepted, I am going to apply for the Sentara School of Nursing. I am finishing up prereq's this summer (statistics) so I will be able to apply for their next start session. I may even apply to ODU but that will be Plan C, I think. Hopefully I will not have to do any of the above because I get accepted into the TCC program. Counting down each day! Let me know when you get your letter, I am praying you get in this time around!

Awesome, this will be my plan B if Sentara doesn't work out. I will be applying for the spring semester! :)

Thats great. Hopefully we dont need our plan B...When my letter comes in you guys will be the second to know. ( mom comes first :)) lol

Everyday I race home to the mailbox...at this point I am so worried of letting everyone else down (my family) if I dont get in. Does anyone else feel that way too?

Hello all! Well I contacted Mrs. Trotter today and she did state that letters should be coming out inthe next 2 weeks. You guys have to just think positive and let GOD do his work. I did however have a plan B. I also applied at HU college of Va Bch. I received my provisional acceptance on Saturday!!!!! Thing is I had to committ today. They gave me no time at all to even think about it. If I do received an acceptance letter from TCC I need to decide which school to attend. I'd rather have my BSN but TCC is much quicker for me. I will cross that bridge when I come to it. Again, good luck to you all in your journey's in becoming nurses!!!!!
