Hello everyone! Just wanted to start this thread for anyone planning on attending UTA's nursing program in the Spring of 2013.....
I am working on the last of my pre-reqs right now at TCC, but I plan on attending UTA this fall to take Intro to Nursing, Patho, and Pharm... Anyone in the same boat???
For the people who have received the admission letter could you please update the document below with your information.Thank you kindly! :)
Just a friendly note: the link to the spreadsheet was removed because of TOS (unapproved link). If everyone wishes to share this info among themselves, that's cool but it needs to be done off of the board. So contact the spreadsheet maintainer (appears to be lharvick) privately for the link.
Congratulations to all who were accepted! :)
@lharvickI'd like the AP program better as it suits my schedule but I think Im going to take the traditional offer...Who kno if they going to call me off the wait list or not. What Im unclear is which hospital will they put me in since Im unpartner?
I would imagine they could tell you after Nov. 5th because then they should know which students are assigned to which hospital for sure.
Congrats to everyone who was accepted... I wish I knew if picking your clinical sites had an impact on whether you are called up... I know I've seen several of you folks here that were accepted worked at Partner hospitals, and I'd hate to try to put Parkland as my #1 choice if all available slots will go to people who work there... Chances are there are more who work there then there are slots available...Sheesh. If only this wasn't so dang stressful...

@ Don - I don't think it matters which hospital you select as the preferred hospital to do your clinicals. They will place you where there is availability if you are unpartnered and accepted. However, those that are accepted and partnered will be placed at the hospital site at which they are employed. I hope that makes sense.
Wow, I am so glad I found this board! I was so disappointed last night when I got my "wait list" notification. It was all I could do to not just start crying, but it helps knowing I am not the only one. I keep trying to remind myself that God has a plan for me and he knows what he is doing, but it reallyo is hard to keep the faith.
lharvick - I can't seem to figure out the Google +. I just received an email saying that you had messaged me, but when I signed on to Google + there was nothing.
I really do think considerations have a lot to do with it. My overall GPA wasnt as high as some, but I had the 30 hour and the 3/4 science accommodations...I guess its their way of keeping the money from the pre-reqs.
@txhopeful12 - Not sure what you mean by 3/4 science accommodation...that is one consideration I had not heard of? Just curious....:)
