  1. Yea, Im going to do that. I emailed her back, but I don't want to chance her getting it late, so I am going to do it first thing in the morning. Thanx guys.
  2. Hello everyone, I just received an email saying that they have not received my drug screen info and if I do not do it by tomorrow I could be dropped from the program, but I did it Thursday, August 9th at Harris Occupational Health location. Has anyone else recieved this message when they already took the test??? Im a little worried. I have my receipt though.
  3. Welcome EMTerri! Glad to have you. I wanna let you know that you are not the only one waiting for your financial aid. I haven't ordered books, uniforms, shoes, or any supplies either... Dont worry tho, everything will work out. I try not to stress it too much...
  4. Ok, thanks JustJackie! That makes sense. I cant wait til Friday!! I just finished my summer class today so im running a lil' behind on getting my paperwork together..
  5. Ok Cool, thanks Hill!
  6. One more question?? Regarding orientation.. Im still confused about the photo.. Do we need to just bring our nurse badge (the one bought from the bookstore) or just a regular 3x5 photo of ourselves. Im wondering cause it says to bring a recent photo, no larger than a 3x5, and write your name on the back to orientation.
  7. Quick question??... I signed up for the CPR class that TCC offered towards the end of August, I believe I have Aug 24th or something like that... Because I am not going to have my CPR certification until then, I'm wondering what to since one of the documents needed at orientation is the CPR certification... Do you think we just need a receipt showing we paid for the class already and maybe the date we signed up for it on??
  8. Thanx for asking about the switch with the hybrid/ non-hybrid students, JustJackie! :) I am at JPS on Wednesdays, I am also NOT an employee there.
  9. Hello, everyone. I was wondering if anyone was willing to trade schedules with me? I have Wednesday clinicals at JPS. I am not hybrid. This would be greatly appreciated since Wednesday was actually the ONE day I was praying that I wasnt going to have clinicals on...
  10. I didn't want to have to do the ADN program because I just wanted to go straight through and get my BSN, but UTA is not looking so good for me right now either because I have NO CONSIDERATIONS. I guess I have no other choice than to try and get into a ADN program, but who knows, maybe its better that way... I can finish the ADN program, hopefully start working while working on a bachelors through the RN-to-BSN program??? Like I told myself at the beginning though...I will try my best and let everything happen the way its suppose to happen...
  11. Sorry I have been MIA for some time now, this semester and my child have me very busy... Does anyone who plans on going into the traditional program have any considerations added to their app?
  12. @MEGREEN: I recieve financial aid and I am planning on taking summer classes, but they did not allow me to use my financial aid money for it either. I have to apply for a loan and start a payment plan with them in order to pay for it.
  13. Yes, at UTA they only check to see if you have passed or failed, which is a good thing cause that vocab killed me... @svh040789: Which class would you say is harder? Pharm or Path? Do you have good teachers?
  14. @ Camille 2013: I am also going for the traditional program at UTA. @ nici0513: I think that you have a very good chance at getting in with that GPA. Even though it does suck to take Chem again, at least you'll be a pro by the time you finish it the second time around . Plus, you'll still get to start the program at the same time. Im going to be applying with a 3.75 GPA overall and a 3.75 in sciences as well. I am just going to cross my fingers and go with the flow :)...
  15. WOW! UT-HSC is impressive... I think UT Arlington is a great school as well. It's one of the top five or ten nursing schools here in Texas. I just really can't wait for this semester to be over already so that I can start the application process. It's exciting! How is Chem and Micro going for you? Micro, for me, was hard. I think it was because I really under-estimated it.
