UTA Spring 2013

Hello everyone! Just wanted to start this thread for anyone planning on attending UTA's nursing program in the Spring of 2013.....

I am working on the last of my pre-reqs right now at TCC, but I plan on attending UTA this fall to take Intro to Nursing, Patho, and Pharm... Anyone in the same boat???

Mphillips, that really sucks! I haven't gotten my letter yet. But I bet if you we're to ask Parkland how many accepted were employees, I bet it's not 10. I think UTA picks who they want, the top students and waitlist everyone else, as if all employees got accepted. I think it's something fishy going on!!!!

Lee, a friend of mine received her "no" letter today - so denials have gone out also.
Really???? I don't know what happened to mines then. I guess they passed my name up! Thanks

I really do think considerations have a lot to do with it. My overall GPA wasnt as high as some, but I had the 30 hour and the 3/4 science accommodations...I guess its their way of keeping the money from the pre-reqs.

Well good luck, Lee - hopefully no news is good news for you - but yes, she received her "no" at the same time I received my "waitlist" - good luck!

That's weird because I recv'd my "waitlisted" letter for Fall 2012 when everyone else recv'd theres. I hope it's good news. Thnx

Well I hope so. I had 2 considerations last period. When I applied for this application period June 1st, I was partnered at Parkland for 11 yrs, and I was terminated on Aug 29th, so that left me unpartnered. So now I only have my Bachelors in Biology, so only 1 consideration. And I've taken 23 hrs at UTA. So I hope it's enough to get in, but not sure why I haven't recv'd a decision yet! @ lee1920 I haven't receive my decision e-mail either. One of my friend got her acceptance e-mail at 5:30, and the other got his rejection at 8. I'm glad to hear that I am not the only one that haven't receive anything. AND I swear I did turn in my application, I even got the confirmation e-mail.

I rcv'd my confirmation email also. I don't know what's going on. Maybe they skipped our names. I'm gonna give them one more day and I'm emailing my advisor. They do say no news is good, so hopefully this is true.
