TWU Fast Track Summer '09

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Is anyone out there applying for the fast track program starting in the summer for the Dallas campus? I am applying. Will have my pre-reqs completed in January. I am very stressed about them only accepting 30 students!!! Does anyone have any thoughts, concerns, anything??!? I think I am going crazy waiting for April to come to know if I got in or not!

Also, does anyone know about the chemistry that is required? I am wondering if intro to chem is alright since the equivalency chart says any college-level chemistry course. I have emailed two people at TWU and waiting a reply. Will let you know...

Specializes in NICU Level III.

My chem was a 1401 or 2401 .. I don't remember the title... but it did have to have a lab.

yah, the intro to chem class also has a lab (4 credits). Are you applying for the fast track as well? :nuke:

I gonna apply for the Fast Track '09. I'm done with the pre-reqs and the Net, just waiting to apply.

I know 10 people at Childrens ready to apply (their GPA 3.8 and up). It's gonna be very competitive.

Good luck to all of us :)))

Nope, I graduated from TWU a while back.

Goodluck to you to Polska! I wish that everyone could get in, but doesn't look like anytime soon! I will keep checking this board. If anyone hears anything new about the program, let me know!

Thanks, Good luck to you too, I will pray for us to get in.

I have worked so hard to get all A's in my pre-reqs so I really wanna get in.

I will let you know if I hear anything knew.

Yep, it can be the intro Chem as long as it has a lab. Got it in writing. 'Cause I didn't believe it!

I'm taking Intro right now to try and "erase" my Cs in General Chem from a very, very long time ago! Yeah, Chem...Fun stuff.

Anyway...Just found the thread. I'm a Fast Track applicant, too! I'm so anxious to just FILL OUT the stupid application, and they haven't put it up, yet!!! I think I'd feel so much better if I could just APPLY and not have to wait.

Hello everyone. I too will be applying for fast track 09. I'm finishing up the pre-reqs now, and will be taking the NET this month! I'm a little nervous about that. I've heard from people making in the low 60s all the way up to high 90s. I have no idea what to expect. I do know it's going to be very competitive. I have several in my classes now who are applying for fast track that I know are well over the 4.0 mark. If there are really over 500 applying???....I may be in trouble. Who would have ever thought that Bs were a bad thing!? It's like if you even have a couple you're GPA doesn't cut it. Ouch! I'm also planning to take Patho Phys in the Spring, so I'm right there with you guys. I'll be following the board here and if I find out anything else, I'll keep you posted. I'm at TWU now. What about you guys?...TWU or somewhere else ready to make the transfer?

I'm at my local community college finishing up prereqs. I believe the admissions lady told me there are normally about 150 applicants for the 30 slots, but not all of them are qualified, i.e. haven't taken the NET, don't have at least a 3.0, etc.

I'm considering taking Patho Phys in the Spring, too. Haven't decided, though. I'd sure like to have a little time off!

Yup, it's true! I got it in writing too (in an email). I can't believe intro will suffice! How is intro going for you? Is it better than gen chem?
