i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.

my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)

Are you going to buy new or used books for second semester? I am thinking about buying used ones. Both Lowdermilk and James were published around 2003 so there must be a lot of used books out there. :idea:

I have already bought almost all of mine and I haven't even spent $150. I found them all on www.half.com ! I refuse to buy new books again when they're so cheap online!

Hmm...I was under the impression that you only had to buy books 1 time at the beginning of the program for the whole program. What is the real story on this?

That's what most of us thought at El Centro but we were wrong.

It may only be one or two so that's how they say that you have your textbooks when you first buy them. You have MOST of them but not ALL of them. I think after 2nd semester you may have all that you need but definitely not after 1st semester like they claim....I don't think they should get away with that........

I suspect that we will have to buy psychiatric nursing books for third or fourth semester, too.

At least we can buy them online. For some reason I was thinking that they were books that the school made up. Like for my health class, it was a book made for the campus.

Yeah that is a really good thing that we can order them online. The only thing you have to buy from the school is the syllabus (which is a waste on money in my opinion).

Guys I sure hope you can help me.

I'm taking another look at the Nutrition class offered online through DCCCD. I am wondering if any of you ahve the textbook, telecourse guide, diet analysis software and CD's and would like to sell them.

I am willing to take older editions, used copies or copies with markings, as long as the telecourse guide does not have missing pages. I also need the 6-cd set and prefer the ones that have the video lessons, but will take those without.

Buying it in a bundle from one person would be great, but just let me know what you have.

Hey Sunny- I have just the Diet Analysis software and I would gladly send that to you if you would like. I'm sorry but I sold my other nutrition books. Are you taking Manness? I took her for online Nutrition and I loved her!
