I just found out yesterday that I was accepted to the nursing program at SWTCC!!! I'm very excited yet scared to death at the same time. I'm looking for advice and what to expect from former students. Where did you buy your scrubs, stethoscope, and shoes??? How are the classes?:wink2:

Thanks,

Whats the hardest part of Foundations?

the teachers ambiguous test questions, just because your books and notes state A, if they choose B as the right answer on the test.....well its B.

there were a couple times i dropped from a 98 to a 92 b/c they made up their own answers.

Oh so you passed without trouble.. I think they just really scared the crap out of us acting like no one makes higher than a C and that you can just expect to make barely passing on every exam. If you don't mind me asking, What was your final grade in foundations?

i ended up in the 90's

Thanks Bicster! I am going to study up! For some apparent reason they won't have the dates for the exam until July! Which is crazy! I got an A in Micro, a B in a&p1, and a C in a&p2. I have all of my gen ed courses done english comp, nutrition, psychology, music app ( for the humanities course) and I will be taking stat's next semester! I will have a 2.8-2.9 When I apply! What do you think my chances are getting in! LOL! Sorry for all of that! I'm just really anxious!

yeah they are really bad about posting the dates. just make sure you are at the cashiers office 7am the day they are posted, there arent many seats.

as far as your chances, certainly its hard to say. get that GPA up if you can, and you have to DESTROY the NLN. You can do it.

if i can be of any more help, let me know.

how easy/hard the test is really depends on 2 things: how bright you are and how prepared you are. i consider myself pretty bright, and i was prepared, i only missed like 4 questions. for some, the test is impossible, for the majority, its hard but doable.

if you dont already have the tan nln review book get it. you dont have much time, so start absorbing everything in there.

as far as the english part, either you know the words or you dont. review some roots, stems, etc.

math: review decimals, percents, geometry, algebra, division and mult. with decimals, stuff like that

science: review A&P, bio, micro, and physics.

if i can be of any further help, let me know.
