Nice to know there are a couple more with me!! So how does that work with the TBA clinicals. Do they have a certain time to notify you, or will you find out in orientation?
As far as I know, they will tell those of us with TBA clinicals which day we get at orientation. She said it could be fri sat or sun...luck of the draw. Made no sense to me. But I guess so they can even out the clinicals if people change their minds and don't end up going maybe?? Who knows.

I wasn't prepared for the extra costs associated with the program. After I'm finished with the checklist I will be broke lol.

Well just an update about the background check problem I had... the info that showed up on my record that belonged to someone else with my same name has been removed, thankfully! Glad that is over with!

Me either!!! I knew the books were going to cost me but I was not expecting the costs for CPR, titers/vaccinations, background check... etc. This is why it would be nice if we had earlier notifications so that the Spring students could have just as much time as the Fall students to get prepared.

I am just finishing the first semester (in fact, the last clinical check off today!!!!! Yea!!!) and I spent at least $1000 on books for the first semester. This included additional books that were needed, like care plan books, review books, study books, NCLEX books, fluid and electrolyte books, etc. I did not even open some of the required books that were on the list. It's unfortunate. Wish I had known that before I bought them!!

Hi there. Would you mind telling us exactly what books you didn't use that where on the "MUST HAVE" list?

    Nikkih901, can you PM me?

I would also like that list..... I live off the money from Pell grants and various scholarship money, and unfortunately the school dispenses the funds in a manner that is absolutely ridiculous. They've made these changes due to all the people they had getting their money up front and never attending, and of course it seriously effects the people, like me, that are working hard to do the right thing. My major bulk of funds comes the second and third after classes begin, so I'd really like to know the books that are "musts" for the first few weeks. Thanks to any responses...
