Barry CRNA Starting 2018

Nursing Students SRNA

Hello all! I just thought I would start a thread for those of us applying. I have started my application and I am working on my personal statement now. How are you all doing?

I have taken the GRE and passed my CCRN. I still need to get my PALS. I also need to ask for my letters of recommendation and send in my school transcripts & GRE scores. I'm going to try to apply for the Tampa campus.

Has anyone else received a call for an interview. I just received word that my application has been sent over to the review committee. Please keep me in your prayers. Thank you.

Call admin office & ask for Carolyn Kaercher & ask for and update on your file.

It's the end of the semester, lots of things going on. As said before, one of the secretaries has pursued other education now. Carolyn I assume now has a lot on her back. The basics professor retired, and now the OB professor is assistant director. The director is in the middle of trying to secure other locations in South Florida so we can have more clinical sites. Pretty much every professor that teaches a course is in a different area, aka Orlando, Tampa, West Palm and even Washington State. There's a lot of people involved with the decision making so I'm sure it takes some time. It's not like they can just gather all the files and sit in a room one day and go over each applicant. This is a good program, but demanding. I promise you, you will have over 3000 clinical hours when leaving the program, and well well over the required 700 cases.

I don't think anyone doubts it's a good program - thanks for some further information on what may be taking some extra time.

She asked me to check with her next week. The committee received my file on 07/28/17. Everyone keep their fingers crossed. I will do the same. I have several applications out right now and I am praying I hear wonderful news from all of them.

What phone number did you call? I keep getting a dial tone like the phone is off the hook

Good luck! Keep having patience... it was 4-5wks from when they said my file was forwarded to when I called and asked for an update and then got a call to interview... the interview date was 3wks later. I'm so excited to be going... hope to see you there! Good luck!!

Thank you so much!! I appreciate your good thoughts!!

Hi! What email did you use? She gave it to me on the phone yesterday and I must have written it down since it keeps coming back undeliverable! I'm so glad someone here encouraged us to check in, I called and Carolyn was super sweet and said it may be my GRE score... Turns out they had an old score and never received my updated (higher) score when I retook it!! So I'm trying to get it to her!

Thanks :)

Hi everyone! Does anyone know how the south Florida clinical site is? Thanks!

So, just when I had lost all hope they call and offer me an interview! They contacted me in late July and offered to see me on August the 25th. I'm so nervous! I just moved to Orlando, Fl from Tennessee last week. I thought it might help to get in-state tuition next year. But now I might be moving again in January if the Orlando campus is already filled.

I'm also tempted to take the head-start classes now, if it's not too late to sign up!
