Hello all! I just thought I would start a thread for those of us applying. I have started my application and I am working on my personal statement now. How are you all doing?

I have taken the GRE and passed my CCRN. I still need to get my PALS. I also need to ask for my letters of recommendation and send in my school transcripts & GRE scores. I'm going to try to apply for the Tampa campus.

Hi everyone! Does anyone know how the south Florida clinical site is? Thanks!

What specifically do you want to know? There are several clinical sites in SF. They all vary widely. For instance at some sites they barely get time in the OR and are in pre-op quite a bit while at another site they are being left alone in cases and expected to fully run a case. So ya expectations can vary quite a bit. Eventually you will rotate through at least 2-3 sites. So you can get a feel for how different places are run.

Has anyone received any alternate information about anything!? This forum has been a great update for information but I feel like unless you have been randomly called for an interview you really do not know what else is going on otherwise. I do appreciate the post earlier about some insight on how some things have changed and one person has more responsibility. That is terrible, but I was just wondering if there is anyone else out there that is left in limbo on what is going on. Several people including myself have written emails with no response, if anyone has heard anything else about last interviews or any other useful information or can offer information on who else I can contact , it would be gladly appreciated. THANKS !!

I was just wondering how the professors and classes were at the Hollywood site and how the clinicals were at the hospitals! But seems like ever hospital is different thank you!

I also read on a previous post that if you were in Tampa you may have to relocate to Orlando for a semester. Is this the case for Hollywood? Thanks so much!

Does anyone know how to apply for the Grad Plus loan? When I try to through student aid.gov it says to contact the school? I have sent an email to the finical aid advisor but have not heard back yet.

Has anyone heard when Barry will hold September interviews? Any indication of how many spots in the program are left?

Has anyone heard if and when Barry will hold September interviews? I know that with the recent events surrounding Hurrincane Irma, the operations of the university have either been suspended or completely shut down. I just wanted to get a timeframe of when more interviews will be conducted or if the class beginning in January is full. If anyone can provide any insight that would be wonderful. Thanks.

Have you heard anything? Still waiting to hear back as well and also wondering if they have confirmed their DNP Program? Any insight would be awesome!

Heard they had interviews last wk and the DNP accreditation is still in progress. Grad + on the FAFSA site u need to do the loan education for subsidized and unsubsidized. And sign the notes. Contact the financial aid office if your unsure if you've completed everything. I called today and was told by the end of this month the decision on Spring loans should be made. Good luck!
