So did anyone or is anyone currently in the FNP or Adult NP online program at this time? I spoke to an admissions rep and was really impressed. The set up is nice with one course at a time, although was told you can talk to your advisor and sometimes layer your courses here and there as well (like an 11wk course with one 5.5 wk course) which I'd prefer to do to get done faster...since I did my ASN at Excelsior and am finishing my BSN I'm well used to online format courses and have my time down to a science. I was planning on beginning my application process now, so that in December we submit everything with the potential to start the first week of Feb 2014...anyone else??? Any thoughts???

Has anyone finished the FNP at South University and taken the certification exam? I was wondering how well they prepared you for the exam.

I am enrolled in South University and just waiting on my transcript from JU (from my BSN) to be sent. They said the average time to complete the course of study for FNP is 27 months. Has anyone here completed it? Did you complete it in 27 months or quicker?

Specializes in Adult Nurse Practitioner.

MeloRN96, if you take 1 class per term as they have set up, it takes 27 months. Most students double their terms or so the splits (start a class then about 3-4 weeks in start another, and are done sooner.

I am working on my application and hoping to start in November. Although, I am also expecting to hear from Frontier Nursing University, University of South Alabama, and Nursing@Simmons.

I received my acceptance letter from South Uni. today for November cohort. Although, I would like to hear from the other schools I applied to....

Hi-I am looking at applying to the South University's online family nurse practitioner program. I would love any feedback about the school. Good or bad. Thanks

Mostly good reviews...It is a GA school with medicine, pharmacy and nursing program...I believe the online nursing is new....

It is definitely cheaper compared to Simmons and Georgetown....

The is a blog regarding it on this website...You can read what current students have to say...

Thanks for the info @charles805. How do I get to the blog? I'm new to this site.

If you use a regular computer. ..type in Nursing News, Articles, Degrees, Jobs, Answers for Nurses and Students | allnurses

Then on the right side of the website, you will see the search box...type in South University.

Thank you Charles805

Were you about to find the blog? Have you applied to any schoo?

I applied to south university and chamberlain. Chamberlain is full until March 2nd. I was really wanting to get started before then.
