I got my acceptance today and will be starting in the September cohort as well! I'm excited, but also super nervous. See you this Fall!

So they send a snail mail letter? I wasn't sure how I'd hear an answer since so much of my communication has been via email and phone. How long after your application went for review did you wait to get a letter?

It took two weeks after my application went under review to get a decision and they contact you via email. Once my MyAccess page said a decision was made it took 3 days to get my acceptance email.

Where under my access does it tell you if a decision was made?

Under the applicant section it will list all of your information and when a decision has been made it will have a new box that under your applicant info that says"decision: contact admissions." It says this whether it's an acceptance or denial and they will email you either way.

Good luck!

Thank you! I hope I see a change soon, it's been over 2 weeks so I'm starting to worry.

Kayla95-

Have you done your welcome call yet? I do mine next week. They sent me the information packet and I freaked out a little when I read the time investment section. I'm really nervous about balancing school, work, and family. How are you feeling about all of it?

Would you guys mind posting your stats and experience? I would like to apply for GU in the future but don't feel like I'd be competitive at all 😞

I would definitely apply. I was told that GU looks at each applicant holistically and I believe this is true. I was really nervous too. I had a 3.5 for my ADN and 4.0 for my BSN. I was told that most applicants have a cumulative GPA above a 3.5 and are equally as strong in their science courses. I also have 12 years of experience- 2 years inpatient med/surg/peds and 10 years outpatient oncology.

You will never know unless you try! Good luck! 😊

Hi RN2bNP! I thought I replied to this but apparently I didn't! Congratulations! What part of the country are you in? Wouldn't that be crazy if we lived near each other! I'm in Texas BTW :)

I am so sorry for the very late response! Yes, I did my welcome call a few weeks ago. I am so incredibly impressed by the support I have already received. I'm a little worried about the time commitment, but fortunately I am in a place where I don't have to work. I do have a daughter who just started kindergarten and we want to have another baby ASAP, so that concerns me. However, my BSN program was very intense (19 credit hours first semester!!) and I had to drive 110 miles everyday so this will be better. Overall, I'm pretty darn excited!!
