Is anyone currently enrolled one or know of anyone enrolled? I'm currently looking at florida schools to start in the fall. Looking for how it is with work and if it is doable. UM has a 1 year program and was interested if someone is doing it and working. I will complete my bachelors in spring. Any updates or information? What kind of interview questions did they give you?? So paranoid hate being unprepared any information will be greatly appreciated!

There's a one year NP program? How is that possible? I did mine full time and it took two years and that was year round.

I'm not going to lie, after reading that post I had to go to Miami's website to check this 1 yr nonsense out. My goodness, good luck with that who ever graduates and expects that education to be okay to treat patients. I'm sorry but 1 year is nowhere close to being sufficient enough to fill the gap between provider and RN. I'd advise more UCF, USF, UF for Florida schools. Makes no sense to me, I'd rather take more class's to be more educated and pay less with tuition. UM you pay more tuition and take less classes. So again I do not understand this trend with having to graduate so quickly, and yet wanting to get paid a lot of money to put people's lives in danger.

Thanks for your input but there's other schools that are 2 years in length that allow working full-time. I'm looking for those who are in the program currently. I'm interested in how they are doing. University of miami is a very reputable school, I would I understand if it was a no name school offering this program then I'd be hesitant. University of miami is ranked top 50 best colleges and I'm sure they provide excellent education. But thank you again for your input í ½í¹‚

Well, I think the "full day" may be 12 hours and clinicals between 8 and 12 hours. I would expect it to be lime my 1 day a week paramedic program where it was a lecture of 12 hours. I also wonder whether you will have real significant breaks between semesters. It sounds like you should expect to have full days 3-4 days while doing the program.

It's doable but it's kind of like me telling people I had my BSN in 9 months from a program that advertises 1-2 years. Yeah, it's doable but it's stressful at points.

Personally, I went with a 5 semester plan for clinicals so it's not stressful. I saw how people did with cramming 270 while working full-time. Many dropped part-time. I'll do 125 per semester.
