I'm very excited as I just got my acceptance call! I was wondering if anyone else around here would be starting Oct 28th? I'd like to keep in touch to help each other out through this!

I've been a nurse for 8yrs and always knew I'd go back eventually....decided to pull the trigger a few weeks ago and apply. Now just need to get together some supplies and order my books! (going to buy a desk and make my little zen study area!)

good luck everyone!

Hello,

I would like to know how the first classes are going. When are the assignments due? Do you have to sign on at certain times? I start in March

Thank you

Thanks for replying! =) Just how you would rate the program, assignments and studying so far =)

Anything in particular you would like to know?

See my post above this one =)

Hi ChelleLynn or anyone in Chamberlain's FNP program,

How difficult is the NR-503 Epidemiolagy class? Does it involve a lot of statistical computations?

Thanks.

Hello I have been following your posts on Chamberlain, I found your remarks are straight forward. I would like to asked you about how long do they take to get back with you on acceptance. Since you started the program how do you like the 8 weeks classes.

Thanks Mae

Can someone/anyone please answer our questions please! =)

I completed NR-500 last session and I really enjoyed the class. NR-500 is a foundation class that provides students with important skills necessary for them to be successful in graduate level nursing classes. Currently I’m taking two classes over eight weeks which they don’t recommend. However, you can do this up until you start your specialty classes. In the two classes I’m taking now, we have discussion questions which have to be answered in each thread (two per class) by midnight Wednesday and we have to respond to a classmate by midnight Sunday. All papers and other assignments are due by midnight Sunday. I’m taking two classes so I have a paper due every week and a ton of reading. I also have a big presentation due week seven in one of my classes.

Good question! I’m not scheduled to take NR-503 until May, so I will let someone else answer this question.

I love eight week courses. I received my BSN from Chamberlain so the transition process for me was great because they already had all my information. I contacted the advisor in September about enrolling in the MSN program for November. I finished my BSN at the end of October and started my MSN program the next week.

Thanks for keeping everyone updated on the program! I have been doing my research and Chamberlain College of Nursing is one of my choices for MSN FNP program. If I enroll this year I would start in May. I recently seen on CBS this morning that NPs made #4 on the top 10 best jobs in the United States for 2014.

Thank you this was very helpful!
