I'm very excited as I just got my acceptance call! I was wondering if anyone else around here would be starting Oct 28th? I'd like to keep in touch to help each other out through this!
I've been a nurse for 8yrs and always knew I'd go back eventually....decided to pull the trigger a few weeks ago and apply. Now just need to get together some supplies and order my books! (going to buy a desk and make my little zen study area!)
I started the program in October and I have no complaints. This session I'm taking two classes, NR -501 Theoretical Basis for Advanced Nursing Practice and NR-506 Health Policy. The classes are eight weeks long. My assignments for the next eight weeks include several papers, discussion board questions, worksheets, a presentation and a lot of reading.
I've been in the Chamberlain MSN program for a year now. I changed to the FNP when it became available. I'm in NR 507, Advanced Patho now, NR 501 abd NR 506 are both not bad classes just lots of papers, good luck!

You can actually purchase a program to help with formatting for APA. PERRLA and RIVERPOINT are both really good. Just make sure your program doesn't have a problem with you using them. PERRLA is the one I prefer. You can get it for $35.00 /year.
