I've had an instructor ask about guidelines/regulations for anatomy labs when dealing with blood typing and U/A. I'm not really sure we have them. I mean I can address standard precaution and offer biohazard containers/bags for disposal, but as far as regulations, I have no idea. I'm not even sure where to look. I would think this is something that Any suggestions? Do I start with OSHA?

This may be crazy obvious and I'm asking a really dumb question. Please let me just go ahead and apologize if so... My brain can't take much more :roflmao:

I would think the instructor should have his/her own set of guidelines to follow.

I think grammy1 is correct. There are probably educational guidelines set up for science based labs. The teacher should consult her State Dept of Education.

This is not under the umbrella of school nursing regulations/policies/procedures in my area. They may want to consult with you about formulating their policy, but it is THEIR policy.
