Online BSNs - good reputation?

Hi, I'm looking into my RN to BSN and want an online school with a good reputation that will help me get into future MSN/NP programs. Would anyone recommend Walden U, Online, Thomas Edison Online, or Villanova Online? Any other recommendations? Thanks!

I'm in the process of applying to Slippery Rock's RN-BSN program. They're certified by Midstates and CCNE. Tuition isn't bad, and you can pay it in installments.

Isn't Walden the one where it's only pass and fail so therefore your GPA would be 3.0?

I would look for a program accredited by CCNE. I am going through Ohio University because I graduated from a partner school so they took everything from my associate degree and all credits transfer. However, OU only accepts from five states now. The tuition is low but they have a partner tuition cost too.

If you have a year of RN experience, look into Frontier's RN to MSN program. They have a FNP program for the RN to MSN. I think it's available in 40+ states. I know many midwives who went through them although I think their FNP program is popular too.

I am going through OU and then trying to get into Frontier's program after I have a year of experience. I was unsure whether paramedic experience would count. OU would shave off five thousand off the cost at least too.

Hi there. Don't forget to check your local colleges and universities' RN-BSN programs. Many of them offer online formats so you get the benefit of the school's local reputation without actually being on campus. A state university or private school near you may be more recognizable than a purely online program like the ones you have mentioned in your post. Good luck!
