Need advice on continuing education

Nursing Students ADN/BSN

I am almost done with nursing school with my associate's degree, and I definitely want to continue on to get my bachelor's degree or more. My question for you all is how soon should I go back to school. I have heard the first year as a nurse is hard and can be overwhelming so I should wait a year. What are your thoughts and opinions?

Although I agree with the above post, I see no problem with taking an occasional, less 'stressful' general education course or CLEP exam to fill areas such as the humanities or arts and sciences (mainly arts for now, sciences later...this coming from not-a-math/science person). That way, by the time you've gotten the hang of things at work, you're ready or almost ready to go directly into the BSN nursing courses. Just my opinion...;)

Keep your feet in it or you'll be like me; 20 yrs later trying to learn in a completely transformed educational environment. Sign up for a low stress humanities, or if you aren't stressed out by writing, a writing course might even be therapeutic.

You can also take an online course, which would be easier than trying to get to class, trying to fit school into an already busy schedule. This way, you can do school work at your convenience.
