My boyfriend. He's a fantastic partner and encourages me every day to work hard and give this all I've got. He gave me a great example while he was in school for engineering, so I've got a great role model, and someone who definitely won't take excuses for not studying, lol.
My mom and grandma were also nurses, and my mom has been so generous in taking care of me since I have gone back to school. She tells me about what she sees that will help me be a good nurse, and that keeps me going.
My job as a CNA in hospice right now is a huge motivator. I want to be the best I can for my patients and be their number one advocate, and that's what it's all about.
I wouldn't be lying if I said the career itself is a great motivator. Decent money, decent hours (IF you can learn not to answer the phones on days off
), and the excitement and novelty each day brings. Everything I learn is school is just fascinating, and I love the idea of a career that will let me just keep learning as I go.
