When Should I take my TEAS?

I am finishing Chemistry in May, and taking AP in the fall. Do you think I should take my TEAS over the summer since the Chemistry will be fresh in my memory? Does the TEAS have alot of Chem questions? Should I wait until I finish AP to do this? Im only taking one online class over the summer so it gives me time to study but I am nervous about the science portion of it...Insight?

I took the teas during the summer since I had 2-3 weeks off to study for it without having to focus on other classes. I had a couple chem questions on my teas, however, those questions were very basic. I took the teas 2 year after I took chem and I didn't have any problems. I would recommend to take AP before you take the teas since it is good to know the concepts of mitosis/miosis or DNA replication, transcription, translation, ect. a little bit more in depth.

There is a lot of A&P on it. I would suggest waiting until you complete that before taking the teas. I did find there to be quite a bit of chemistry too, but I don't think it was too instrusive. Basically just balancing chemical equations. But I would at least wait until you finished A&P II before taking it. I took mine 2 months before applying. Just in case I needed to retake as you have to wait 30 days in between each test.

I would take the TEAS after A&P. I took mine the first time, after A&P 1, and then the second time after A&P II, and my score went up 3% the second time (did no different studying).
