Would the kindle fire hd be good for this? Looking for a good tablet with easy note taking and for a reasonable price.

For those with ipads, would you recommend the mini or the ipad?

With the ipad mini 2 due out by year end, and the next ipad out between summer and year end, if you didn't have one, would you wait even though you would have classes come August?

What keyboard do you recommend for the ipad?

Thank you.

I love my ipad.. The mini seems a little too small for me for taking notes. It might be be better If you're using it for reference on the go or something though. The keyboard I bought recently is great! I was going to go for the apple me but its too pricey for me. I ended up ordering one on amazon with good reviews. It has been perfect so far. It doesn't hurt my wrist and is very quiet... Here is the link..

I would say go with the iPad. Personally, the mini- is a little too small. The iPad is perfect for notes and lectures. :) if you don't mind looking at a smaller screen then mini would be ok. :)

Thank you both for the ipad vs. ipad mini recommendation along with the link for a good keyboard.

Are there any other accessories that you would recommend for the ipad to help with school?

Thank you.

My nursing program requires an iPad (which is covered in financial aid thank goodness).

That's awesome! I wonder, do you also have suggested apps from school or your professors that maybe you could share with us? So far I downloaded a NANDA one and some antibiotic ones. Thanks!

My orientation date is May 29th, they will tell us more then. I just got the letter stating the time and place and that we have to fill out our CORI/SORI forms and that the program requires an iPad. They said they will give more info May 29th.

I have an iPad 4 (retina display) I love it. I have the zagg pro folio + case which is nice since its a stand. I love that my keys glow too. It's pricey but I really like it. They keys are made really well too. http://www.zagg.com/accessories/zaggkeys-ipad-profolio-plus-keyboard-case.php#7063

It's a beautiful day to save lives.

I plan on buying the otter box for it. My son has an iPad mini and that thing has protected it so many times. No scratches no dents and no broken glass :)

I love the Otterbox! I have it for both iPhone and iPad and I love the hard front cover. It was pricy but so worth it. With it I'm not worried about putting the ipad in my purse at all! Plus the 8

$85 I paid for it is less than any repair needed or even a replacement. Although I did get a 2 year protection plan which will fix it no matter what happens and if it cannot be fixed I get a gift card with the amount I paid for a new one.

Really! I have an iPad already, but didn't know its required! What's the name of the college you're at?
