Student in PA. Is nursing for me?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I finished all the nursing prereqs and added chem for a future bsn, in 2 years. I took the nursing exam my second year and got in. After reading a lot of things, I am unsure if i should pursue it or not. It sounds REALLY stressful and crazy but I remember getting an infusion done by a nurse at a doctor's, and her job seemed laidback.

i always also have nurse practitioner vs PA in mind also and might eventually want to do that. i know the pa program requires more science that i haven't taken yet.

My main issue is: Go for RN or go for a science degree at the community college to eventually go on for sonography, PA, etc.

i am reading into sonography and am unsure if I'd want to do that instead while I also have interest in diagnosing, etc like an NP could do.

If I didnt take the program this fall, I know i'd have to reapply.. Should I just go with it and also try some shadowing out, etc? Does anyone love their RN job?

I love mine in home health but it's usually a plan B for most at best. I never hear of anyone going to nursing school to become a home health nurse but I'd like to see that focus.
