Spring 2007 Classes

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello everyone, first time poster. I was just wondering what all you are taking in Spring 2007. This will be my last semester of pre reqs, and I hopefully will be in the nursing program come next school year.

I'm taking:

A&P II

Microbiology

Developmental Psych

Honors Art Appreciation

Archery (LOL)

Specializes in Med-surg.

This is my last semester of pre-reqs as well! I am taking chemistry, statistics, muisc lit, medical terminology (for fun) and orchestra! :lol2:

Specializes in floor to ICU.

Yoga- my last PE!

(I need a break before May when I hope to start full-time in a bridge program.)

Specializes in OR Internship starting in Jan!!.

Well, I was thinking about taking Micro, but I'm not sure what I'll do since I just found out I was accepted into the program starting in the Spring. If I go by the suggested schedule, I will only have 9 hours because I took the other classes already. I will need Micro eventually, so it would be nice to get it out of the way and be a 'full time' student for fin aide purposes. But, since it will be my first semester of nursing school, I'm not sure that I should take more than I must. Hmm.

Hi All ~ Just joined today (after lurking heavily yesterday) and thought I'd jump right in. I've got a ways to go with my pre-reqs, but I'm hopeful that if I'm diligent I'll have them out of the way and ready to apply to nursing school by this time next year. So, starting on January 8th, I'm taking Math 60 (I told you I have a ways to go!) and Biology 112 (which I have to take in order to get into A & P). So if all goes as planned, I'll be in A & P I in Spring and Math 65.

It's funny. I was doing a search yesterday on-line for "37 year old returning to school" and found this site. It is exactly what I needed to find! It's so encouraging reading about everyone's paths to N.S. and I am especially encouraged to hear the experiences of the "older" students. Guess that's going to be me in a few weeks!

I'm going into it with the attitude that I can do it, even though I graduated from college 14 years ago and haven't taken a math class since the 80's!!

Thanks for listening. :Ball:

Hello,

I am taking the following:

The last two courses are for a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Counselor program that I will finish in May. I hope to enroll in nursing school for Fall 2007. I have completed the remaining prerequisites (except Micro) while earning a previous bachelor's degree.

So far I have applied to four schools; I should hear from one of them this month.

Hi Ms juju,

I answered a post of yours on the math board, that thread doesn't get much traffic, so I will say welcome here!

You sound a lot like me I am 38 and have been in your shoes, I have been hacking away at this since 2004 don't get discouraged and don't give up just keep at it!!! you will be so happy, I keep saying even if I never get into nursing school these courses have helped my self esteem soooo much! Someone who was a self proffessed math idiot I feel so confident in math and even find I really love it! I am planning to take more during my wait into nursing just because it gives me such a high to do something I had thought I never could.

now is that sick or what? taking more math for fun? boy if someone had told me that 10 years ago I would have died laughing.
