Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I am taking my last general education course and I have already been accepted to an LPN program. I have absolutely no motivation to finish this course. I am a Dean's List, honor's society student. I do really well. I just can't seem to get myself to care about this class. It might also be because I had to retake the course. I took it at another school and did well, but found out that the school wasn't accredited so my credits wouldn't transfer. I had to take A&P I last semester even though I had an A in it before. I know I need to do this but...ugh.

Same here. I am taking Lifespan Human Development because the course I took before covered adolescence to death and didn't include childhood. What I'm learning right now is pretty much the same thing, except the course description now says "lifespan". We have to get through this, but I feel your misery. :dead:

Ugh, so sorry. There is so much reading and writing in this course... I wish we just had multiple choice quizes and tests instead of the long essays we have to write for our exams.

When I moved from the UK nothing transferred over, so I even had to get a GED before I could start college :/ I'm on my last Gen Eds now and I can't wait for it to be over - I'm trying to stay motivated by looking at my shiny 4.0 GPA lol.

It's hard not to mentally check out sometimes, so I've started treating myself as my wallet allows - I have a new stethoscope, which some might say is premature, but I'm a CNA anyhow so it was high time I got a new one (but now this one has a rainbow head on it ;D haha). I remind myself that the goal is worth the boredom, and definitely worth the struggles. After I graduate I'll be able to settle down in a different part of the USA with my fiance, so I just remember that to get me through the mundane D:

I believe in you, Vampyr! (Also, bonus points for the Spike avatar... I haven't seen that show in years! Major nostalgia!)

My mom is from England, we are going to be getting dual citizenship hopefully. My GPA is good, I've been accepted... But all of our midterms and assignments are tons of long essays. Bleh. Yep, I'm complaining. I know nursing school will be a million times more difficult, but meh.

Also, thank you for the avatar comment. I miss that show so much. Can you believe it's been 20 years since it started?!

Yay for dual citizenship! I wouldn't mind getting dual, but honestly it's nice still having that safety net, even if it has been 10 years since I went back <_> haha.

20 years... maaaan I feel old now haha

Complain away! Sometimes we need to just have a good vent so we can get the weight off our backs, and then move forward strongly! You got this~!
