Really need some great advice

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi all,

I am doing my pre requisites and I am attending my community college in California. I have taken a&p1 and a&p2 in both I have C letter grades. I withdrew from a&p2 twice due to personal reasons. I wanted to know if I should take anatomy seperate from physiology to get A's and increase my chance of acceptance into a program? I also wanted to know is taking anatomy separate from physiology considered a repeat of the combined a&p course ? I really don't know what to do. I have been trying to get advice from the college nursing program at my school but they have not contacted me back. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

@pmabraham

Thank you so much!!!

My English teacher has it mandatory to see a tutor for each essay and complete 3 hrs of workshop before class ends. I tend to look at samples and try to anaylyze each part of an essaay like the thesis statement , why vivid descriptions, irony, etc

I'm a person who also paces around as well..lol. I will try to utilize this technique a little more. Thanks again :)

Sorry OP for off subject. Forgive me. :)

@pmabraham Good Afternoon

Human biology is a class I will look into. When I previously talked to counselors they never mentioned it to me. Being that it was helpful for you in other science courses I'm pretty sure it will benefit my education aswell. I will do my research and see if it is available next semester.

You are right there are different styles of learning and it took me a while to learn how I could obtain information quickly also. I am still moving towards my goal and learning from mistakes and I'm hoping for the best.

Thanks for your help

@tasha92337 Hello

Wow I hope everything work out well for you. You have the opportunity to start over in your sciences and you have work experience in the healthcare field. Best of luck :up:

@JenniferLynWhat

May I ask if you had to take other courses to bring your gpa up? And what was your science gpa? Also did you find it harder for you in being accepted into a program?

I do plan to talk to an advisor first thing thing Monday. I am hoping to speak with someone who can provide a good path for me instead of telling me to change my goal which I dont plan to. Hoping for the best.

Thanks for your post
