Pathophysiology online?

The BSN program I'm about to apply to for fall next year requires pathophysiology and will accept transfer from an online school. They recommended Nebraska, which I'll definitely check out, but I was wondering if any of you have taken this online and recommend the school you used. I'd also like to know the total cost (app fee, tuition, textbook), if you do recommend the school you used.

Here is the description my school lists for the one they have:

4 hours credit

Study of the causes, bodily changes, signs and symptoms,

and mechanisms involved in common and serious human

diseases. Prerequisites: BIOL 215, 216. Three hours lecture,

two hours laboratory per week.

(Those prereqs are A&P)

I can't take it there because as a transfer, by the time I'd register for classes for this spring, the class will be full, and I have to have the class completed before fall. They don't offer it in the summer.

try Rio Salado College, Marian university, or Red Rocks College--not sure if they have the class, but they have a lot of online offerings. I just finished online Micro from Marian. A little pricey, but GREAT instructor!

Holy crap, at Nebraska it's about $1,400! They make you pay $50 just to get a syllabus!

that's about what it was at Marian. It's insane! Red Rocks was the least expensive of all the ones I checked into.

That's ridiculous :(

Check those other colleges I mentioned, they were way less expensive. Good luck!

I guess it depends on what state you are in, but here in California, Santa Barbara City College has a great online Pathophysiology class that transfers to most nursing schools... Check it out at sbcc.edu

also, you can usually crash a class even if you don't get it in the computer registration.

csn.edu.....$200/class book is a $100 and the class is really helpful

After thinking things over, maybe Nebraska isn't that bad??? It's self-paced, and can be started at any time. I was thinking about the cost per credit, and for a 4 credit class, as much as I hate to spend that much on anything, it's not the most expensive thing on the planet. Plus, its one I know my school takes.

Are any of these other suggestions self-paced, start any time? I want to see if there are any out there that have the same leniency for less money. If not, I think I may go with this one.

check this out. they have "human pathophysiology" online and I think it's less $$ good luck

I am taking Pathophysiology on line from Butler Community College in Kansas. it is a 4 credit course and cost about $600. It is offered Fall, Spring and Summer and you must have completed Anatomy & Physiology I and II.

All in all, it is not too bad.

This particular class was recommended to me by the accelerated BSN program I will be attending for my last prerequisite.
