Hi, I just finished the Micro class at Marian. It was very time consuming, but super interesting. I am only working part time, was taking a non-accelerated statistics course at the same time, and spent a ton of time on Micro. The professor is awesome! I recommend organizing a few labs at once so you can run them during the same time period and finish sooner. I also recommend buying a printout of the book vs. reading the online book. The tests are open book and many of the test questions are right from the text and a lot easier to find if you are holding a physical copy of the book (during a test). I got an A, but it just about killed me. The test study guides are super helpful and so are flash cards. Good luck!!!

also, you can usually crash a class even if you don't get it in the computer registration.

Check those other colleges I mentioned, they were way less expensive. Good luck!

that's about what it was at Marian. It's insane! Red Rocks was the least expensive of all the ones I checked into.

try Rio Salado College, Marian university, or Red Rocks College--not sure if they have the class, but they have a lot of online offerings. I just finished online Micro from Marian. A little pricey, but GREAT instructor!

This was a really nice article and it sounds like you are really on top of things. I've been reading a lot of comments on the site that it is pretty hard to get a position as a new grad RN (bsn). I'm just now applying to an accelerated program and these comments were pretty discouraging. Do you think that getting a position is still possible for a proactive person? I'm an older student making a career change and really want to do this career. I appreciate any input/insight you might have.
