Part time RPN Georgian college ontario

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I went for a information session last month for the part time practical nursing program at Georgian. I have been working for the last year to get my prerequistes in order to take the full time program but after going to the part time information session I thought about all the benefits of going part time and decided to apply. I ended up applying the next day and taking the HOAE a few weeks later. Its been a week since I took the HOAE and I received my scores on tuesday. The program starts in 3 weeks and it still says no decision on the georgian portal. How likely is it that I will get in? Also I booked a trip a year ago and it falls on the second week of classes, how do I go about telling them I'll be absent the second week?

I was in a similar situation recently. I started an RPN-BScN bridging program in September and my brothers wedding was being held (in Dominican Republic) during the 5th week of school. Unfortunately I was supposed to have a group presentation that week, but I went to the coordinator right away and they allowed me to present early. I was very lucky.

You just have to be upfront and tell them ASAP. You may even want to contact the coordinator once you are accepted, before beginning, to see what she says. Unfortunately they do not have to accommodate you, but you never know unless you ask.
