Of 2012? Or can I take them all? Intro to Microbiology, Anatomy with Lab and Physiology with Lab...I just don't have a clue..Someone please help. Well after Spring semester I will have these classes left: Micro, Anatomy, Physiology, Chemistry, English ll, and Sociology..I'm just wondering how I can split those classes into Summer and the Fall semester next year.

I want to be in L&D or NICU

oh interesting! I don't think I could handle the nicu, I love babies too much to see them hurt. Just not strong enough to do it

I know I worry about that to..but I may like some other unit once I get into nursing school so I am keeping an open mind.

oh ok thats good

You to..we can do this :) I just wish I was already in the nursing part already..I hate all these pre-reqs I mean what are we going to do with U.S. History in nursing lol Oh well its gotta be done. I was really feeling low when my sister went to school to become a massage therapist..she makes good money now and I have always wanted to be a nurse and I am finally getting that chance.

They want you to take US History beforehand not really as a pre req but because it is a graduation requirement and sometimes history can be an in depth subject so they would rather you do it before nursing school instead of during. Usually the only class they recommend to take for graduation requirements during is like your speech course and your humanities if you havent already. Some schools require them all so you can concentrate on your nursing classes.

In terms of your classes I would try and take chem over the summer, but thats just me. Have you already taken a bio class?

No I haven't

Then you also need to take your intro bio class. It is a pre req for micro and anatomy/phys for almost every school I have seen.

I'd take chem in the first summer, english 2 and sociology in the second summer and the rest in the fall.

I took chem in a five week summer course (5 hours a night, 4 nights a week).. it was rough, but at the same time it was like tearing off a band-aid- got it over as quickly as possible. 16 weeks of chem would be pure torture for me.. lol I got a B.

Comp2 is ridiculously time consuming, so if you can get it out of the way without science classes, I suggest you do it. There is a ton of reading and writing involved, and the last thing you want to deal with is a 14 page research paper at the same time you're trying to take lab exams and studying for your science finals. Do yourself a favor- get that comp OUT OF THE WAY. Sociology is easy enough, so you could probably get away with taking it with comp2.

Micro with Anatomy and Physiology together is very doable...
