Oh the aggravation

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Well my school just finally posted that they will start requiring the TEAS test. I guess that's what I get for dragging my feet about it. So I guess I've got one more thing to study for. I wish they would have held that off for another semester. Now the requirements give preference to students who got all of their pre-reqs from APSU unlike me where I've been getting my pre-reqs thru the community college at half the price. It's just annoying so I needed to vent a little bit.

Good luck on the test. It is a new requirement here, too, even for people who have completed everything and are already on wait-lists. I take mine next Friday. Yikes.

Sorry about the aggrivation. It is irritating when the requirements keep changing. I just got a letter that for one school that only does a lottery that now they are allowing students put there name in the hat even if they haven't finished all the prereqs, but are on the last semester. That is great news for the students who are on their last prereq or two, but rotten for people who finished last spring but weren't allowed to apply before now! The lotto pool will be even larger. Oh well, I guess sometimes it goes in your favor and sometimes ... not so much.

It is so aggrevating!! I hear you the samethings happened to me, my courses changed and they added the TEAS etc...I kept getting so frustrated, but please stick it out, I seriously this is all part of the process and you will be put through so many tests like this, but it will be worth it in the long run!

Have you taken any pre-reqs yet? The TEAS is very basic and if you've done OK on the pre-reqs you shouldn't need to study. I got a 88% before pre-reqs and a 92% after.

A lot of people swear by the ATI study guide but, for me, it wasn't much help. The questions on the guide were way harder than the actual test.

I've just started my last semester of pre-reqs. All I will be taking is statistics, medical microbiology, & intro to literature. I did well on all of my other pre-reqs. It just seems like it's always one more thing.
