Nutrition requirement

Hello, I am finishing up pre-requisites for nursing at Hunter College. I am not applying to the Nursing program at Hunter but will apply to privates (NYU, LIU, Adeplhi, etc). This is the second semester where I tried to register for Nutrition (NFS 141) at Hunter and it is full. I cannot stay another semester because of this class. Does anyone know of alternatives (online courses) that would be acceptable to private nursing programs??? Any help will do. I am desperate at this point.

I have emailed and called the Nutrition professor many times about this but have not heard back.

I am taking it online through the SUNY learning network this winter quarter, and the schools that I have asked will accept it.

I looked through a site earlier. Is the course you're taking "BIOL 209 basic nutrition at cayuga/community college"?

How about Kingsborough Community College? Bio70-Science in Nutrition is opened for winter module.

I agree with the kingsborough college suggestion. I graduated from hunter and took several epermit courses at kbcc including nutrition. The class transferred successfully, I will be starting liu in the spring. Good luck !

The one I am taking is at Finger Lakes Community Class and is an intro nutrition course -- I forget the exact name, sorry! I could look it up later if you can't find it

I haven't taken it, but I know that Johns Hopkins offers an online nutrition course. My current school does as well and I actually need to e-mail the professor to see if she will override me into it! Dx

If you want to stay in Maryland, try UMUC. That's where I took nutrition, online, 8 week, piece of cake.

Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) may have a campus close enough to you (though they are all in PA). They do have online courses including nutrition (I'm taking it online this spring semester); and the college is accredited. See Virtual Classes at HACC for additional information.
