Hello, I have been planning on applying to accelerated nursing programs since I have my BA but I realize it is very competitive and there are only a few in nyc. What are the other options? Can I take the longer option of a 2 year program if I already have a BA? (non accelerated option). I just want to increase my chances. Any information is appreciated.

I looked through a site earlier. Is the course you're taking "BIOL 209 basic nutrition at cayuga/community college"? Thanks so much for the response!

I am also looking to take Nutrition online because it's full at the college I attend. Do you mind sharing which accelerated program accepted you without completing the requirements?? I'm interested in applying. Thanks :)

Hello, I am finishing up pre-requisites for nursing at Hunter College. I am not applying to the Nursing program at Hunter but will apply to privates (NYU, LIU, Adeplhi, etc). This is the second semester where I tried to register for Nutrition (NFS 141) at Hunter and it is full. I cannot stay another semester because of this class. Does anyone know of alternatives (online courses) that would be acceptable to private nursing programs??? Any help will do. I am desperate at this point. I have emailed and called the Nutrition professor many times about this but have not heard back. Thank you, Cynthia Romero

Hello, I am planning on applying to the NYU 15 month RN program and attending hunter college for pre-requisites. I tried registering for Nutrition and Anatomy and physiology 1 for the fall but they are both full. I am thinking of taking them at Queensborough community college. Does anyone know the equivalent for Nutrition (NFS 141 hunter college) at Queensborough community college? I tried using the cuny site but it gives me strange codes that do not have a name for the course.
