We have a big dietary project. we have to track what we eat on three different days and then do a whole bunch of different analysis on it to find out where our energy is coming from and how we spend it. Or why we are putting on/taking off pounds..(no more blissful ignronance about broken cookies having no calories... ) We also have to track our activities. Its a big semester long project.

That was good. Just drink diet coke, and it will cancel out those calories. :wink2:

I think my project is all semester long too. We also have quizzes, exams, and participation/attendance. And to top it off, I think my Professor, a RD, is a fanatic about her profession (which is good for her since she has followed her passion). So, like the rest of you I will know more then I wish regarding nutrition. On a positive note, I will be more in tuned with the health of others so when I start nursing school (hopefully this January) I will at least be thinking like a student nurse.
Wow. All semester long. I hope you arent taking a full load.

I'm in Nutrition this semester also. My class is doing that very same project! Pretty neat. I wonder is that like a standard project for this class or something?

I'm in nuturiton this semester too. Not too bad so far, the readings are pretty interesting;so much has changed since I first started learning this stuff back in grade school. It's an online course with the identical projects as mentioned above.
Nope. This is the first of many part-time semesters to come. :monkeydance:
I am finished with all of my pre-requisites and co-requisite courses and I am now knocking out the few pre-reqs I need for the RN-BSN program while I await acceptance (hopefully this semester) into the ADN program.

Good for you. That is probably what I will do also. That will make it a little easier to stick in there for the long haul once I finish my RN. Good luck:nurse:
Good luck to you too. :wink2:
Hey, I started my class... I have two chapters to complete by the end of this week. Plus homework and an essay. :monkeydance:Honestly, I am actually enjoying myself. I cannot wait to start the project in a few weeks.

Question, is meat considered a complex carb? I know it is considered an animal starch (glycogen) but this is washed away with preparing the meat for sale, so what would meat be considered? Complex, simple, a combination or the two neither? :uhoh21:
I havent heard that. The last I knew, meat is a protein.
Thanks, I was just confused as to why glycogen (found in animal muscle tissue) is listed under polysaccharides. After checking some numbers and the Appendix, I figured it out.
Now I feel silly.
