Need a filler class for next semester

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I need one elective or easy class to be considered full time . Right now I'm taking AP 1, Eng 102, and Stat 120. Want something not so writing intensive, or math intensive.

Relevant to the field of nursing, or interesting.

Was thinking:

-Medical Ethics

-Intro to Spanish

-An intro to photography class (I have a DSLR, would be cool to learn more about it, but is it a demanding class?)

-Public Speaking

-An intro to history class

-An intro to art class.

-Nutrition course? (I like a healthy lifestyle, and I try to keep a clean diet)

I'm open to suggestions.

Specializes in Transitional Nursing.

Spanish isn't hard, but I found it very time consuming. The same goes for public speaking. Medical Ethics was fairly easy, but I believe there were a few papers required.

IMO, the easiest of those classes would be intro to art, while the most beneficial would be Nutrition, although I'm not sure if that's an "easy" one or not.

eh art. i guess it's good to culture myself more. still, going to consider the others. I need straight As in all the 3 classes im taking now.

Specializes in Cardiac PCU/Med-Telemetry.

I would say art would be easier. Nutrition would be very beneficial for nursing however I don't know about easy. For me its required and its pretty biology intensive imo.

im going with public speaking because i eventually want to co-open a business later in life. anyone else take public speaking?

My school offers Spanish 1 and 2 for medical professionals. I'll be taking those during the summers.

Nutrition would be interesting, but I too don't think it would be considered an easy class. I have not taken it yet but on my list.

Medical Terminology class would be beneficial. Again it is not easy (not too hard just lots on root words to memorize), but will definitely help with A&P. I took it the semester before A&P1 and was a huge help. I know some students who take the same semester as A&P1.
