Re: Mercy School of Nursing Charlotte Wait List
I am currently a student at Mercy in my second semester. They are very good at calling you if a space becomes available. I was on the waitlist for fall of 2008, but I had finished all my pre-req's....they called me two weeks before the semester began, they told me I jumped up the list because my grades were really great in my completed pre-req. I also have a B.S. degree. If you have to wait, my suggestion would be to get all of your pre-req's out of the way. The first semester is a killer, they jump between subjects and there is a lot of clinical work. Plus, the tests are based around the NCLEX, so they are completely different than any test you have probably taken. It is not impossible, but they make it hard for a reason.....they want you to be the best nurse possible. Also, if you aren't a CNA, I would suggest going ahead and getting certified. The first exam is based off of basic nursing skills, it will also help you with your clinicals. Good luck....you will love it, its a small school so lots of one on one attention.
