Medical Drug Calculations for dummies?

I wouldn't buy it, because every instructor teaches differently. We were required to buy a med-math textbook for the class and our pharm professor never had us open it once. We learned through her calculations on the whiteboard, and weekly quiz handouts she gave us. I had some trouble at one point with dimensional analysis and I went to a tutor provided by our program (she was another student). She helped me go from failing my quizzes to getting A's on every one after that in about 30 minutes. Plus it was free. So I would say, don't buy the book and if you are in class and find yourself struggling, I would ask about a tutor. The books that do come in handy are the care plan books, nursing diagnosis books, lab books, etc. But throughout your program, you will hear from classmates which books are the good ones, and the most helpful. For now I say wait :) good luck!!

BUY IT!!!!! I'm a math dummy and I definitely liked it. Now that I have learned dimensional analysis though, I work every problem that way. However, of all the nursing math books I bought during my panic phase before I started the program, I liked this one best.

Thanks! I think I'm going to buy it after the first week of school, at least for a go to guide. I skimmed through it in the store and loved it!
